Applicants must be at least 18 years old, legally authorized to work in the United States, have a valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation, pass a thorough background check and fingerprinting, and be registered (or willing to register) as a Home Care Aide (HCA) through the California CDSS. Compassion, reliability, and professional communication are just as important to us as credentials.
No. We’ll guide you through the HCA registration process if you haven’t completed it, but you must complete it before providing care for any client. The process includes fingerprinting, background screening, and California’s required training standards.
